So many people are speaking about self-care and self-love right now. There is a reason for this. During this time of the year, we tend to put all our efforts into doing things for other people and we forget about ourselves.
We believe there are lots of gifts to buy, food to prepare, parties to plan, parties to attend, more work because the end of the year is coming and we think we need to accomplish everything we wanted to do and haven't yet started, and on and on. All the things we tell ourselves we "should" do.
Are you choosing to put all this pressure on yourself, creating chaos and stress and finding you really don't enjoy this time of the year?
If you are in the midst of a healing journey, this can be twice as stressful if you allow it to be.
RESET YOUR MINDSET:
Say the affirmation below to help retrain your brain.
I choose what I will get completed. I have all the time I need to accomplish that which I choose to do.
Think about ways you can go about doing things differently this year.
Make a list of all the things you want to accomplish. Now take a look at the list and prioritize it. Once you have prioritized it, decide which items you will complete and forget all the others.
Just because you feel someone expects you do to something; does not mean you choose to do it and that is ok.
Set your boundaries and stick by them. You can do this!!!
